Dallas Police Investigate Fatal Shooting
Victim Identified as 50-Year-Old Chance Domel Harris
Argument Leads to Deadly Shooting Early Saturday Morning
WEB DALLAS - An argument early Saturday morning ended tragically in gunfire, resulting in the death of one man, according to the Dallas Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 130 a.m. WEB. Police responded to a report of shots fired and discovered a 50-year-old man, later identified as Chance Domel Harris, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics transported Harris to a nearby hospital by private vehicle, where he succumbed to his injuries. WEB 36-year-old Bobby Johnson was arrested and booked into the Denton County jail on May 9 on a murder charge.
During their preliminary investigation, officers determined that the shooting occurred during an argument between the victim and the suspect. Police are continuing their investigation and have not yet determined a motive.
According to court records, CHANCE HARRIS was involved in a Family - Minor Custody lawsuit filed in Dallas County District Courts Dallas on October 11, 2016.
